Completion of master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with Physiotherapy Alberta College + Association.
Additional Required Qualifications:Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification is required. Your quality of work must meet departmental and organizational expectations. Demonstrated clarity in your communication, organization and consistency of ideas, both verbally and written, including clinical documentation, is required. You must be highly motivated, confident, and enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude whose work aligns with AHS Values. You must be able to act quickly and decisively using critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Able to utilize strong judgment by analyzing facts, considering the impact, and arriving at a sound conclusion, seeking counsel when appropriate. You can work independently and as a part of the team creating strong, effective interpersonal working relationships with peers and other caregivers. You are a reliable worker who uses time effectively and is able to prioritize and complete assigned tasks. You have effective teaching skills for students and other professionals. Demonstrated experience establishing standards and guiding professionals to incorporate evolving evidence based practice within a clinical team. Demonstrated ability to lead a team, and engage them in change management processes. Experience scheduling and assigning work. Demonstrated Experience with Process Improvement techniques. A minimum of five years clinical and leadership experience in a variety of settings.
Preferred Qualifications:Alberta Health Services experience preferred but combinations considered. Experience mentoring and coaching staff and students, developing quality initiatives and implementing practice change, and being an active committee participant is desirable. Basic computer skills, and familiarity with Netcare, Outlook, and other electronic medical records are preferred. Experience with elective and traumatic post-operative orthopedic conditions in both acute and community clinic settings desirable.
