Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
Additional Required Qualifications:Master’s level degree (equivalent education and experience will be considered) in Physical Therapy. Active registration and practice license with the Physical Therapy professional college. Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Demonstrated skills in leading interdisciplinary teams within a continually changing health care environment. Recent experience in program development and practice improvement. Proven ability in problem solving, critical thinking and conflict resolution. Demonstrated self-initiative and decision-making ability within a complex environment. Excellent organizational and time management skills to efficiently organize and prioritize the workload for the team and flexibly respond to changes at a team, department and site level. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with members of the interdisciplinary team, patients and families in a dynamic health care setting. Diverse experience within an acute care hospital setting. Demonstrates behaviours consistent with the values of AHS – Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Safety.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience in an acute care setting. Experience working on medical and surgical units within the last 2 years. Previous experience in a leadership positions an asset. Demonstrated mentorship through student preceptorship and mentoring new staff orientation.
