Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
Additional Required Qualifications:Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification is required. Must have at 1 year of experience with assessing and treating musculoskeletal and orthopedic patient populations. Knowledge and experience of pre- and post-surgery conditions is required; trauma, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation are an asset. You are able to utilize strong judgment by analyzing facts, considering the impacts, and arriving at a sound conclusion, seeking counsel when appropriate to effectively plan treatments and discharges from hospital. You can work independently and as a part of the team creating strong, effective interpersonal working relationships with peers and other caregivers. You are a reliable worker who is flexible in using their time effectively by prioritizing competing tasks. You have effective teaching skills for students and other professionals. Basic computer skills, and ability navigating Netcare and Outlook are required. Able to lift equipment and handle bariatric patients is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Provisional licenses with the college will be considered but general license preferred. 1 years' experience within the last 5 years in Alberta Health Services acute care setting preferred but Covenant Health experience will be considered. Skills and knowledge in delirium and dementia, and behaviors related to it are an asset. Connect Care training is an asset.
