Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 6 months Acute Care experience working as an Physiotherapist in the last 1 years required. New graduates with relevant clinical experience may be considered. Completion of master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Physiotherapy Alberta College + Association. Effective time management and prioritization skills are required. Conflict resolution and strong communication skills are required. Must be able to work independently and within a team environment. Ability to problem solve and demonstrate critical thinking skills is required. Work tasks and charting is computer based so there are extensive repetitive motion tasks. Must be able to tolerate long periods of sitting, or standing as well as repetitive movements. Must be able to participate in hands on care of patients (i.e., transfers, bariatric clients, bending, Reaching, twisting, and walking distances). Must be able to lift and carry 10-15 kg regularly if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook preferred. Experience with Connect Care Preferred. AADL Authorizer Preferred. Experience working within the ICU preferred. Heart and Stroke BCLS-HCP CPR certification and Its your Move training preferred.
