Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program. Active or eligible for registration with Canadian Association of Cardiopulmonary Technologists (CACPT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree in Kinesiology, RN, or health sciences Three-year Allied Health diploma recognized by the CACPT Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. Current registration and membership in good standing with a professional college is required. ACLS
Preferred Qualifications:Health related degree or completion of Cardiology Technology Diploma or Cardiovascular Technology Advanced Certificate. Catheterization lab experience. Hemodynamic monitoring experience. Advanced ECG interpretation skills Proficiency and comfort with electronic/computer charting systems. Periods of sitting, standing and walking may be required including wearing lead where appropriate.
