Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.
Additional Required Qualifications:Registered or provisional registration, with the Alberta College of Pharmacists as a pharmacy technician required. Prior hospital experience with a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to order entry, site inventory, Health Canada Special Access Programme and all aspects of drug distribution such as ward stock, narcotics and individual prescriptions.
Preferred Qualifications:2 years + experience in Hospital Purchasing preferred. 2 years + experience with BDM preferred. 2 years + experience with Pharmaclik, CPDN and HealthPRO preferred. 6 months + experience with Oracle Purchasing modules preferred. Experience with automated packing machines such as PacMED and PacVision preferred. 6 months + experience in retail pharmacy setting preferred. Membership with a pharmacy professional organization preferred.
