Required Qualifications:

Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Current, provisional, or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Physical demands of the role include regular lifting of up to 30 lbs. and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. as well as frequent pushing and pulling and standing or sitting for extended periods. Experience with Willow Pharmacy (Connect Care), Oracle, Pyxis or Omnicell systems, and automated packaging equipment is also required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Membership in a Pharmacy Technician association (e.g., PTSA, CAPT, CSHP) is preferred. Applicants should have recent experience—a minimum of 1 year experience within the past 2 years—as a pharmacy technician in a hospital setting, including sterile and nonsterile compounding, inventory procurement, and completing Best Possible Medication Histories (BPMH).
