Your Opportunity:

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking a dedicated professional to join our pharmacy team at The U of A and Stollery Hospitals. In this role, you will work to your full scope of practice, supporting safe, efficient, and high quality patient care across all areas of drug distribution. You will perform duties related to medication distribution activities, including sterile and nonsterile [TB1.1]compounding. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to checking and dispensing patient specific medications including medication orders prepared by pharmacy assistants and/or pharmacy technicians. This role may also involve preparing, checking, and dispensing non-sterile compounded and repackaged medications. Support procurement and inventory control, and complete best possible medication histories from patients. Additional key responsibilities are mentoring pharmacy personnel, training new staff, and precepting students. This role may collaborate with pharmacists and other interdisciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Current, provisional, or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Current, provisional, or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.
