Required Qualifications:

Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.

Additional Required Qualifications:

2 Yr Regulated Pharmacy Technician with Alberta College of Pharmacists. 2 Yr Northeast Barrhead Hub & Pharmacy Production Center, Order Fulfillment, Inventory Management (required). 2 Yr Elite Automated Repackaging & Checking equipment experience (required). Trained in Barrhead Connect Care Hub Workflow & Order Fulfillment (required). EPIC Trained with Inventory - Experience for both Acute & Long-Term Care patient care, barcoding, compounding & repackaging, dispensing functionality (prep/check/queue), inventory transfers, ordering receiving, monitoring par & opti, medication recalls or backorder management. Rural Hospital Pharmacy experience (required). Must be in good physical condition as majority of shift involves typing, static positions, visual acuity, heavy lifting and grip strength, twisting, standing, crouching, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking and standing for extended periods of time. Demonstration of reliability required of essential work in healthcare.

Preferred Qualifications:

EPIC & EPIC Inventory experience, acute & ltc, barcoding, compounding & repackaging, dispensing functionality, medication transfers – ordering – receiving, monitoring – par & opt– medication recalls – medication backorders, rural experience in North Zone. Automated repackaging equipment experience is an asset - Cold Seal, Specifically Arxium FastPak Elite & Verify. Hospital Related Pharmacy Drug Distribution Center Experience. Preceptor for Technician Student Learning Rotations.
