Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.
Additional Required Qualifications:2 Years Regulated Pharmacy Technician with Alberta College of Pharmacists. EPIC trained experience for both acute & LTC patient care, barcoding, compounding & repackaging, dispensing functionality, and inventory transfers and management. Demonstrate proficiency in the following: communication (verbal and written), interpersonal abilities, organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and in teams as required, computer skills, continual personal quality improvement and lifelong learning. Must be in good physical condition as majority of shift involves: typing, static positions, heavy lifting, standing, crouching, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking and standing for extended periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications:EPIC Trained with both Acute/LTC rotation experience. Preceptor for Technician Student Learning Rotations. Clinically Deployed Experience - BPMH/Med Review Trained. Hospital Pharmacy experience, rural experience is an asset.
