Required Qualifications:

Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.

Additional Required Qualifications:

2+ Years Regulated Pharmacy Technician with Alberta College of Pharmacists. Previous Hospital Pharmacy experience including but not limited to: patient order entry and verification, repackaging with use of automated packaging equipment, certified for final product checking with the use of an automated packager, non-sterile compounding, drug distribution such as ward stock, inventory medication management and procurement. Demonstrate proficiency in the following: communication (verbal and written), interpersonal abilities, organizational and problem solving skills, ability to work independently and in teams as required, computer skills, continual personal quality improvement and lifelong learning. Meditech Computer Software: 1+ yr experience in patient specific order entry & dispensing, and inventory management. Must be in good physical condition as majority of shift involves: heavy lifting, standing, crouching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking and standing for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

Sterile Compounding Lead experience. Clinically Deployed Experience - BPMH/Med Review Trained. Preceptor for student placements.
