The Glenrose Rehabilitation hospital is the largest free-standing comprehensive tertiary rehabilitation hospital in Canada, serving patients of all ages who require complex rehabilitation to enable them to participate in life to the fullest. As a pharmacist here, you’ll work to full scope in a supportive, close-knit team. Your primary role involves comprehensive medication management to ensure safe, effective therapy throughout the patient’s rehabilitation journey. You’ll also rotate through the dispensary for order verification and distribution support. This role offers opportunities to precept and mentor pharmacy students, residents, and new staff. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team, gaining broad clinical experience. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
Description:
As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Hospital pharmacist experience within the last 1 year.
Preferred Qualifications:Rehabilitation hospital experience as a pharmacist is preferred. Connect care experience is preferred. APA is an asset. Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency program and/or advanced clinical pharmacy degree is preferred (e.g. post-baccalaureate Pharm D).
