Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Advanced Prescribing Authority (APA) is required (for new practitioners; must obtain within one (1) year). Recent direct patient care experience in pediatrics required (at least 1 year within the last 3 years). Fluency in the English language (both written and verbal). Demonstrates computer literacy for drug information and word processing. Demonstrates ability to use evidence-based medicine in direct patient care. Demonstrates self-directed learning and continuing education. Capable of making decisions and working independently. Demonstrates good time management including ability to switch priorities and multitask. Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good organizational and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated; able to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to work to full scope of practice. You must provide a letter of intent and indicate the reason you are applying to the ACH Pharmacy Services. If selected for an interview, be prepared to provide a Pharmaceutical Care Plan that you have recently completed.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years' experience in hospital pharmacy. 2 years' experience in pediatric/oncology drug therapy. 1 year experience with Epic®(Connect Care). Recent experience as member of a multidisciplinary health care team. TPN, IV admixture & unit dose drug distribution experience. Completion of hospital pharmacy residency. Additional specialization or training in pediatrics or clinical area. Project & research experience or committee work. Member of voluntary professional organization (i.e. CSHP CaPhO).
