Additional Required Qualifications:Experience in supporting a loved one or family member with a mental health and/or addiction concern. Experience (volunteering, personal or paid), preferably in peer support, working with individuals with a mental and/or addiction issue. Experience facilitating 1:1 and/or group interventions. The applicant will ideally be in a place in their journey where they can demonstrate a level of proficiency in supporting a loved one or family member with a mental health or/addiction concern; for example, maintaining their own wellness while supporting their loved one.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Advocacy. Familiarity with peer support and have a deep commitment to understanding the recovery model, and willingness to share your experience/story as part of your family peer role. Experience supporting a youth or young adult with addiction and/or mental health concerns. Experience working in community addiction and mental health programs. Some post-secondary education. BLS Level C.
