Additional Required Qualifications:Grade 12 education. Completion of a recognized peer support training program. Lived experience in recovery from mental illness and/or addictions. Must be willing to share one's personal experience of recovery. Knowledge of and ability to support Mental Health Recovery Focused Care. Knowledge of Harm Reduction principles and concepts. Knowledge of the continuum of care of Addiction and Mental Health services in the Calgary Zone. Self-motivated with proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated responsible decision-making through the application of knowledge, critical thinking and sound legal and ethical judgment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in demanding and dynamic conditions. Excellent organizational, problem-solving and time management skills. Knowledge and adherence to AHS policies, procedures and code of conduct. Experience with MS Office Suite, Outlook, Sunrise Clinical Manager and Netcare.
Preferred Qualifications:Suicide Prevention Training. Mental Health First Aid. Involvement with local/emerging Community of Practice and with National Peer Support.
