Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma.
Additional Required Qualifications:Candidates with a diploma or degree in Social Work and must be registered with the Alberta College of Social Work. Must understand the principles of Patient & Family Centered Care and demonstrate how practice of these principles improves patient and family experience. Must have intermediate computer skills and be capable of working within electronic health records and show competency with other electronic systems. Excellent current knowledge of community supports and services in Alberta and Calgary for low income families and those related to child health needs and to tax or other child/family benefits.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor degree in Psychology or Social work or Diploma in Social Work. 3-5 years of experience offering resource supports and referrals to community programs and services. Candidates with another professional background subject to the Health Professions Act, must be registered with the appropriate college in Alberta. Extended knowledge of programs and services for families and children. Experience in Child Health or Mental Health and/ or with/at the Alberta Children's Hospital is a benefit.
