Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Completion of an accredited specialty Orthopaedic Technician program. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Successful completion and certification of a recognized Orthopedic Technician program, with specific authorization from CLPNA to practice in orthopedics. Minimum of two years recent experience working in an emergency department. Recent experience and a high comfort level managing a patient assignment of four to six patients of all ages and demographics. Preference will be given to those applicants with previous Connect Care training in an ASAP environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Maintains competencies outlined in legislation and profession through continuous learning. Balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities. Ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities. Proven ability to work within a team environment and effectively contribute to patient planning processes. Strong assessment and communication skills (verbal and written).
