Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Completion of an accredited specialty Orthopaedic Technician program. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Current orthopedic and acute care experience required. Orthopedic Technician certificate is required. Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced environment; ability to change pace when the situation warrants. Self-direct, positive attitude and demonstrated excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:Emergency nursing experience preferred. Recent experience with pre and post care of patients receiving conscious sedation or post anesthesia recover preferred.
