The Rockyview General Hospital Eye Clinic is a high-volume ambulatory clinic providing care to more than 33,000 patients annually. We support a wide range of ophthalmic subspecialties, including oncology, glaucoma, retina, low vision, comprehensive ophthalmology, neuro ophthalmology, cornea, adult strabismus, and a 365-day urgent eye clinic. Diagnostic services include ultrasound, photography, visual fields, electrophysiology, and more.
Description:
As an Ophthalmic Technologist, you will be responsible for carrying out diagnostic procedures and evaluations according to the standard procedures of the clinic.

Active or eligible for certification by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of experience as an ophthalmic technician/technologist in a high-volume clinic (hospital setting preferred). Proficiency in Humphrey visual field testing, ophthalmic photography and angiography, retinoscopy, refractometry, optical coherence tomography, specular microscopy, and corneal topography. Experience with Goldmann and Octopus field testing. Skilled in posterior and anterior segment photography, including corneal topography and endothelial biomicroscopy. Competence in fluorescein and ICG angiography. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Consistent demonstration of AHS core values: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and safety. Ability to work in a physically challenging environment as physical requirements include lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to provide direct patient care and perform CPR.
Preferred Qualifications:Connect Care experience. Experience performing ocular ultrasound within the past 6 months. Experience performing electrodiagnostic testing within the past 6 months. Applicants must include a resume and cover letter for full consideration.
