Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience. A minimum of 2 years acute and/or tertiary level hospital experience within the past 3 years is required. A minimum of 6 months Ambulatory or outpatient clinic experience working with upper extremity and/or trauma patients is required within the last year required. Other experience may be considered. Experience with Upper extremity splinting required. You must be highly motivated, confident, and enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude whose work aligns with AHS Values. You must be able to act quickly and decisively using critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Must possess strong professional judgment, initiative, and effective time management skills. Effective time management and prioritization skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Hand Therapy certification an asset. Recent experience in the assessment and treatment of complex hand injuries, surgical interventions and orthopedics is an asset. Knowledge and ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook preferred. Experience with Connect Care preferred. Experience in the assessment/treatment of patients within the geriatric population is an asset. Experience in mentoring Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy students is an asset.
