Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Active registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT) or the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta (CPTA). Current Heart & Stroke CPR (BCLS-HCP) certification. Minimum 1 year of recent experience in hand therapy, upper limb rehabilitation, or an outpatient setting, including assessment, splinting, and range of motion (ROM) management. At least 1 year of recent experience treating acute and post-operative hand conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:Certification as a Hand Therapist (CHT) is preferred, as is experience in an acute care setting. Additional assets include experience with wound debridement and familiarity with 3D printing for clinical applications.
