Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in pediatric health care setting. Experience working with children and their families with complex neurodevelopmental disorders. Competency in the administration of standardized assessments such as the Beery-Buktenica Developmental Test of Visual Motor Integration Skills, Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency (BOT-2), Movement Battery for Children Second Edition (M-ABC), Sensory Processing Measure (SPM) – Home Form, Sensory Profile 2 (SP2), The Test of Visual-Perceptual Skills (TVPS-3) and Peabody Developmental Motor Scales (PDMS-2) required. Knowledge of typical child development and developmental disorders. Good working knowledge of the DSM – V.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience performing clinical observations and functional living assessments. Knowledge of client-centered and/or family-centered practice models. Knowledge of motivational interviewing skills. Knowledge of community resources.
