Completion of master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience in working in neurology. You will have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. CPR required – BLS for Health Care Providers Level C. You are physically capable of carrying out the duties of this position. This position is physically demanding that requires the OT to assist with bathing, dressing, transferring, repositioning, escorting patients to and from programs. You are expected to manage behaviorally challenged patients. Complex moderate to severe brain injured patients may be very dependent for care at times.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with stroke and brain injured patients is desired. A background in rehabilitation services using a client centre approach is desirable.
