Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Previous experience working with adults with neurological impairment required. Demonstrated skills in working in interdisciplinary teams, effective communication, planning, and organization are required. Demonstrated strong clinical decision-making ability in complex environments is required. Previous experience working with adults with neurological impairment required. Must be able to complete the physical tasks of assisting with patient transfers, mobilizing upper extremities, assisting with mobility, and carrying equipment as necessary. Experience with Connect Care essential.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with neuromuscular electrical stimulation, cognitive rehabilitation, perceptual rehabilitation and vision treatment modalities, equipment, and techniques. Experience working with individuals with cognitive impairment across the lifespan preferred. Ability to assist with patient transfers, lifts and positioning is a necessary component of the role. Memberships with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and/or the Society of Alberta Occupational Therapists (SAOT).
