Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years recent adult neuro rehab experience required (within the past 3 years), with experience in assessment and treatment of upper extremity, vision and cognitive deficits. Demonstrated ability to function effectively within a client-centered, interdisciplinary team of health care professionals required. Demonstrated knowledge and application of evidence-based practice for clients with neurological conditions. Effective self-management skills and demonstrated initiative required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Current BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an outpatient or tertiary rehab setting. Experience with custom hand splinting for the neurological population. Experience with the assessment tools and processes to determine a client’s ability to drive following a neurological event.
