Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS HCP). Ability to perform all duties in accordance with related legislation and regulatory bodies. Proven ability to provide exceptional clinical care within a continually changing healthcare environment. Communication and assessment skills to work cooperatively and effectively with the healthcare team members, clients, and their families in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work independently in clients’ homes, which could include congregate settings, single family dwellings, condos and/or walk-up apartments. Therefore, the successful candidate must be able to work in different settings and environments (home environments and weather conditions), as well as be able to lift and carry medical bags, which weigh approximately 25-30 lbs. At the time of interview, you may be required to demonstrate your computer knowledge and proficiency by completing a hands-on assessment. You must demonstrate sufficient typing speed to meet workload demand and navigate through various computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Visio, Outlook and Internet.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Continuing Care experience. Palliative care experience. AADL authorizer. Experience with Meditech, Connect Care and the RAI HC assessment tool. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
