Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Master’s or a bachelor's degree from a recognized occupational therapy program, or A Master’s of OT, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury is required. Experience working within interdisciplinary teams/programs is required. Effective teaching skills, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills are required. Must be physically capable to assist patients with transfers, mobilize and manipulate limbs, lift, bend and carry equipment as necessary. Experience with Connect Care essential.
Preferred Qualifications:Memberships with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and the Society of Alberta Occupational Therapists (SAOT) are recommended.
