Completion of master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Current BCLS-HCP certification is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated problem solving, planning and organization skills is required. Must demonstrate a strong patient/family centered approach to care. Proficient knowledge of computer applications including basic word processing, email, internet access, virtual health platforms and electronic charting is required. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team while managing a busy caseload.
Preferred Qualifications:A minimum of 2 years recent experience working with neurological patients and patients with complex needs is preferred. Experience working in an outpatient setting is preferred. Training in the HealthChange Methodology™ framework is considered an asset. Experience working with Connect Care scheduling and/or EMR is considered an asset.
