Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Currently working as an OT ~ within the last 2 years. Active registration in ACOT Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) from Heart and Stroke Foundation, current within the last 12 months, required. Handling, moving and lifting heavy or awkward equipment and/or individuals are required. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational & time management skills - able to organize many details in a time efficient manner. Ability to monitor financial accountabilities, proven assessment skills. Proven critical thinking & decision making skills. Ability to perform all duties in accordance with related legislation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to work effectively as part of an inter-professional health care team, other staff & programs/organizations, & with clients and their caregivers/families. Current AADL Authorizer a plus. Recent work experience in a community setting ~ 2 years of Home Care experience preferred.
