Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Masters or a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized occupational therapy program or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with pediatric feeding and swallowing and instrumental feeding assessment (e.g. VFSS and FEES) is required. Training and knowledge of SOS Approach to feeding treatment is required. Training and reliability in administering the ADOS -2 is required. Effective teaching skills, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Memberships with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and the Society of Alberta Occupational Therapists (SAOT) are recommended. Experience with assessment and treatment of children with autism spectrum disorder and complex feeding needs. Experience in occupational therapy assessment and intervention of children with mental health challenges and/or physical and/or developmental disabilities is considered an asset.
