Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program at a minimum of a Master of Nursing level or equivalent. Active or eligible for registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta with a practice permit indicating appropriate stream of practice. Experience within Continuing Care streams of Home Care, Designated Supportive Living, and/or Long Term Care Willingness to complete additional education and/or certifications specific to role.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Minimum of three (3) years’ experience. Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel


Preferred Qualifications:

3 years clinical experience as a NP, with 1 year in Continuing Care. Experience in 2 or more care sectors. Experience in Palliative Care in a specialist or generalist role. CNA certification in Hospice Palliative Care, Gerontology or Oncology. Experience in working in a virtual environment. Teaching experience with staff or students. Program development experience. Demonstrated pattern of maintaining own continuing professional and practice competencies through professional development.
