You will integrate strong clinical assessment skills with cardiac diagnostic insights to develop thoughtful, individualized care plans. Working alongside our cardiologists and a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate seamless care, ensure timely investigations, and support safe and efficient transitions throughout each patient’s stay. Your leadership in care planning, proactive coordination, and discharge readiness helps keep patients moving forward. Description:
As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems. Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, with a minimum of a Master's degree. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:As Required.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent (within 12 months) relevant acute care experience. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the Heart & Stroke Foundation is preferred, and previous experience in Cardiac Sciences would be considered an asset.
