Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, with a minimum of a Master's degree. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Must be able to support a flexible work schedule. Participate in and maintain additional education and/or certifications specific to area of practice. Complete AHS Annual Requirements (as per MyLearningLink) and basic healthcare provider CPR.
Preferred Qualifications:Application & knowledge of current research, with ongoing interest in research-based care. Experience in a wide range of emergency skills including assessment, treatment & therapeutic interventions, health promotion, diagnostic procedures & follow-up care in the community an asset. Completion of ACLS & one or more of: PALS, TNCC, ITLS & NRP. Demonstrated clinical skills in ECG interpretation, wound closure, minor procedures fracture management & wound care preferred.
