Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program or equivalent qualifications or approval. Eligible for licensure with CARNA as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Family/All Ages Stream. New NP grads are welcome to apply. We have mentorship available to new NP's. .
Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire other to achieve common goals. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. CPR (Basic Rescuer). Possession of a valid driver’s license. NonViolent Crisis Intervention training and suicide intervention training required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience providing Addiction and Mental Health services, including knowledge and/or experience of addiction and/or mental health treatment modalities (e.g.,motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy) is preferred. Experience engaging complex clients in a variety of settings and working with Indigenous clients and clients experiencing homelessness Knowledge and/or experience of harm reduction strategies.
