Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:The successful candidate must have a minimum 3 to 5 years of community health nursing experience with an expert knowledge base in Healthy Beginnings, Well Child Clinic and breast-feeding. As a strong team player you must be innovative and flexible and have strong organizational, group facilitation, and communication skills. The applicant will be expected to work, adapt and respond within a complex ever-changing environment, employing problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills while working independently. A working knowledge of computer applications including basic word processing, email, Internet access and data entry is required. Must possess a sound understanding of the community and the determinants of health.
