Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

-Graduate from an approved School of Nursing required -Current CARNA and BCLS certification required -3 years recent experience in an urban PACU or intensive care (ICU). -Strong ECG interpretation knowledge. Experience in the following areas: Caring for intubated patients; working with central and arterial lines; assisting with inotropes/vasoactive medications; & experience with caring for post-surgical in-patients. Current charge nurse experience required. Demonstrated advanced communication and leadership skills required. Demonstrated computer skills required i.e. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar), and Connect Care. Demonstrated ability to deal with stressful situations. Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative practice with other health care disciplines. Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal/conflict management skills. Demonstrated Patient and Family Centered Care practices
