Your Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, this role oversees the daily operations of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Nuclear Medicine. This is a working-supervisor role that works part of their time in Nuclear Medicine. As the Multi-Modality Supervisor, your responsibilities include: Leadership and Vision: Provide leadership aligned with AHS's mission, vision, goals, philosophies, and policies. Supervise department activities, including organizing workflows, monitoring staff and inventory, and assigning daily tasks. Ensure staff orientation, education, and training, including Annual Continuing Education (ACE) requirements. Monitor staff and department compliance with AHS standards to ensure high-quality patient care. Operations Management: Develop, monitor, and optimize patient and staff schedules to deliver efficient and high-quality services. Manage staff Rotations, Scheduling, and Timekeeping in collaboration with the ESP Liaison. Collaborate with the team to establish role expectations and assess individual and department performance. Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection process. Identify, develop, and facilitate staff development, training, and learning opportunities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Monitor and optimize patient scheduling templates to facilitate efficient patient throughput. Patient-Centered Care: Engage with staff and department stakeholders to identify patient and area-specific needs, implementing appropriate solutions to enhance safe, quality services. In your role as a working Supervisor, offer hands-on assistance as needed within the scope of your responsibilities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation and quality of services in the Diagnostic Imaging department.

Description:

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) II, you will be responsible for performing the duties of clinical coordination, monitoring care, evaluation and staff supervision or is the radiation and laser safety officer. As a NMT II, you will be the senior technologist responsible for leading, organizing and directing all technical and daily work activities. You will ensure that the service provided is effective, efficient and of the highest standard. You will also participate in ensuring consistent workload distribution and productivity standards and procedures are followed.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Graduate of a recognized and accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology, as applicable and/or successful completion of the CAMRT Certification examination. ACMDTT enhanced practice licensure as required. Venipuncture certification is required. Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) certification as required. Experience and knowledge of Cross-sectional anatomy. Leadership and change management skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to collaborate and work effectively with technical, medical, and administrative personnel. Coaching and mentoring skills to foster an environment of collaboration and effective teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

Five years’ work experience in Diagnostic Imaging preferred. Previous Supervisory/Management experience will be an asset. Working knowledge of Epic.
