Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Nuclear Medicine Technologist with strong radiation safety and technical skills required. Demonstrated positive attitude and good work ethic. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position. Demonstrated proficient organizational, technical, interpersonal, communication and computer skills. Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility, work effectively independently and within a team environment. Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations required. Demonstrated interest in professional growth and continued education. Demonstrated perception, initiative, judgment and concern for detail and accuracy. Demonstrated tact, courtesy and professionalism with patients, students, AHS staff and Physicians. Excellent record keeping skills required. Skilled in radiation safety practices and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is preferred. Meditech and PACS proficiency an asset. Volunteering for AHS DI Provincial Committees, Super-user training or additional responsibilities in the department an asset. AHS annual continuing education and ACMDTT education requirements up to date and applicable additional courses preferred. Radiation Safety Officer or related courses an asset. Previous experience with hybrid imaging an asset. Excellent laboratory skills.
