Completion of a bachelor's degree in Music Therapy. Active or eligible for full accredited membership (MTA) in the Canadian Association of Music Therapists (CAMT). A member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Music Therapists (CAMT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of recent 2 years’ experience working with children and adolescents in an acute care setting required. Experience facilitating groups and coordinating programs/activities required. Must be accredited or eligible for accreditation with the Canadian Association for Music Therapy. Must demonstrate proficient guitar/piano skills and confident vocal ability. Must demonstrate a working knowledge of Child Development and basic understanding of medical terminology relating to childhood illnesses. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and ability to work in a team setting. Must possess a positive attitude with demonstrated ability to manage in a fast-paced changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in music therapy preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills an asset.
