Motion Analyst
Your Opportunity:
The incumbent leads the development, clinical introduction and assessment of innovative technology for rehabilitation to improve processes and services. This includes identification and preliminary evaluation of promising technology identified through environmental scans and liaising with front line clinicians, academia, researchers, and industry partners. The incumbent supervises students during the design and prototype development stages. The incumbent provides critical training and support for the introduction of new technologies into clinical practice. Research is supported in reviewing clinical and operational impact of technologies. The incumbent works directly with clinicians and patients in implementing and assessing the efficacy of rehabilitation technologies.
Description:
As a Motion Analyst, you will provide rehabilitation support within a patient- and family-centered care model. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides quantitative pre-treatment and post-treatment assessments aimed at aiding clinical decision making. You will participate in program planning and evaluations and may occasionally lead program planning and evaluation projects. You may be required to supervise students.

Completion of bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of BSc degree from an accredited technical or healthcare program. A master's degree in healthcare or technical program is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:In depth knowledge of mechanical design and software development. Knowledge of client-centered and/or family-centered practice models. Knowledge of application of technology to the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal or cognitive conditions. Client focused with ability to work within an interdisciplinary team. Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills and evidence of ongoing professional development related to area(s) of assignment.
