Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:Working knowledge of services with AMH Access 24/7 (Call Center, Crisis, Outreach, Urgent Psychiatry, SW, AC, PACT, RPACT) – the ability to coordinate based upon identified needs within program and client/family. A good working knowledge with external partners – Edmonton Police, Emergency Medical Services and Royal Canadian Mounted Police) and how they work within AMH Access 24/7 Ability to prioritize and organize multiple demands and inquiries. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment Consideration will also be given to Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with: A related Master’s degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy or, considerable experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Minimum of 3 years of relevant mental health experience. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). A minimum of 3 years direct crisis experience, preferably in a community setting. Formal clinical training in triage, intervention, stabilization and case management skills, preferably in a community setting. Ability to ambulate, climb stairs, and move quickly without limitations in a variety of environments. Extensive knowledge of the resources of Addiction and Mental Health and the community. Work-related travel is required.
