Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:Diploma or bachelor’s degree in nursing with: Related master’s degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of Psychotherapy or experience in mental health assessment and provision of Psychotherapy. Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy with: Related master’s degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of Psychotherapy or considerable experience in mental health assessment and provision of Psychotherapy. Minimum of 3 years of relevant mental health experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge and experience with: Providing individual and group psychotherapy using an evidenced based modality. Substance use disorders and/or process addictions. Connect care trained. Extensive knowledge of the resources of Addiction and Mental Health and the community. A strong understanding of client resources in the community and knowledge of mental health legislation including Community Treatment Orders is an asset.
