Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of one of the following programs will be considered: Registered Provisional Psychologist, with an AHS internal supervisor, external supervisor may be considered. Full registration as a Registered Psychologist with CAP within three years from the date of hire. When AHS provides supervised practice a return of service agreement is required. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Diploma or degree in Psychiatric Nursing. Diploma or degree in Nursing, with a related master’s degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Group facilitation skills, DBT and CBT training and concurrent capability are requirements for this position. Or a combination of training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with individuals with mental health and/or addiction concerns. Previous experience and/or training in facilitating skill-based groups and psychotherapy. Experience utilizing connect care is considered an asset for this position. Preference will be given to a candidate with advanced DBT training.
