Required Qualifications:

Completion of one of the following programs: master's degree in Psychology; master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; master's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; master's degree in Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable regulatory college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of three years related and relevant post-degree/diploma experience in an addiction and mental health field required; five years preferred. Completion of one of the following programs will be considered: Bachelor of Social Work including training and experience in mental health assessment and psychotherapy and who have psychosocial intervention authorization. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or, a) Related Master’s degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy or b) considerable experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in nursing with: a) related Master’s degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy or b) experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Authorization to do mental health psycho-social intervention is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Five year’s experience in Addiction and Mental Health Therapy or relevant therapy experience is preferred but three years work experience may be considered. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention/suicide prevention training and CPR/First Aid preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
