Completion of one of the following programs: Master's degree in Psychology. Master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy and who have Psychosocial Intervention Authorization. Master's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Master's degree in Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:Current CARNA, CRPNA, BSW or OSW Registration required. Graduation from a recognized nursing education or professional program required. Current CPR (BLS) certification from The Heart and Stroke Foundation required. Current Applied Suicide Intervention Training certification required. Current Non Violent Crisis Intervention Training certification required. Experience working with persons with addictions and mental health concerns is required. Basic computer and email skills required. Strong interpersonal, organizational skills and assessment skills. Strong verbal skills (English language proficiency is required). Congruent non-verbal communication skills. Active listening skills. Demonstrated ability to practice in a recovery oriented and trauma informed manners. Ability to work independently while maintain collaboration with team members. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with the interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in an adult acute practice setting preferred. Charge Nurse experience preferred. E-clinician training and experience preferred.
