Completion of a master's degree in psychology; a bachelor's degree in social work incorporating education in mental health assessment, brief counseling, and crisis intervention; a master's or bachelor's degree in occupational therapy with similar educational components; a bachelor's degree in nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and brief counseling; or a bachelor's degree in psychiatric nursing. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of relevant addiction and mental health experience providing crisis intervention preferably in a community setting. Formal clinical training in triage, intervention and stabilization, preferably in a community setting. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Ability to ambulate, climb stairs, and move quickly without limitations in a variety of environments. Extensive knowledge of the resources of Addiction and Mental Health and the community. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to work well with a range of community and agency stakeholders as well as clients and families. If registered with ACSW, preference to those candidates with authorization to perform restricted psychosocial interventions.
