Occupational Therapists: Completion of bachelor¿s degree in Occupational Therapy and active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT). Psychologists: Completion of bachelor's degree in Psychology and active (or eligible registration) with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). Registered Nurses and Registered Psychiatric Nurses: Completion of an accredited Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing education program and active (or eligible registration) with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA). Social Workers: Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work and active (or eligible registration) with the Alberta College of Social Work (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Masters degree required for Psychologists. Authorization to perform psychosocial interventions as applicable. Minimum 3 years recent experience in Addiction and Mental Health required. Minimum 1-2 years' experience providing group-based treatment to a similar population. Case management, mental health assessment, consultation and crisis stabilization experience required. Strong stabilization based, psychoeducational groups skills required. Training and experience with trauma-informed, MI, CBT and/or DBT models required. Comprehensive discharge planning experience, including knowledge of Calgary zone addiction and mental health resources. Strong computer and word processing skills required. Basic Life Support (BLS).
Preferred Qualifications:Basic knowledge of DSM 5, medical co-morbidities and psychotropic medications. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills. Strong decision making and organizational skills. NVCI.
