Required Qualifications:

Social Workers: Completion of bachelor degree in Social Work and active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Social Work (ACSW). Psychologists: Completion of bachelor degree in Psychology and active or eligible registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). Registered Nurses and Registered Psychiatric Nurses: Completion of an accredited nursing or psychiatric nursing education program and active or eligible registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of directly related experience working in the addiction and mental health field. Ability to manage a wide variety of clinical situations with varying levels of acuity and a heterogeneous client population. Ability to thoroughly and accurately collect and document information in a timely manner. Ability to work confidently, independently and within collaborative partnerships. Ability to work in a sedentary job. Community and crisis experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaison with various professionals. Minimum of 53 words per minute as supported by a typing test. Proficiency in computer navigation. Strong critical thinking, assessment, and intervention skills, including crisis intervention skills. Strong knowledge of addiction and mental health disorders across populations and experience in using the DSM-V diagnostic system. Strong working knowledge of the addiction and mental health system and resources within Alberta Health Services Calgary Zone and related resources in the Calgary community.
