Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Certification from an accredited Medical Transcription Program.

Additional Qualifications:

Medical Office Assistant certificate. Expert knowledge and recent work experience requiring use of Medical Terminology . Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills. The ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a transcriptionist role in the medical field, preferably community. Experience using Netcare and EditScript programs. Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (Word and Outlook, will be confirmed through a skills test). Accurate keyboarding skills required with proven typing speed of 60 wpm or higher (will be confirmed through a skills test).
