Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:ARPA – Successful completion of Alberta Jobs, Skills, Training and Labour Legislation examination. DI Quality Control training and courses. Minimum three years’ experience in relevant radiation field. Hands on QC experience. Technical proficiency in electronic applications used in AHS and technical expertise with DI applications. Good organizational and interpersonal skills Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to cooperate and work effectively and efficiently with technical, medical and administrative personnel. Ability to work independently, assume responsibility and foster an environment that promotes good teamwork. A demonstrated interest in professional growth. Initiative, good judgement and attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff, physicians and vendors. Ability to prioritize effectively and work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:Radiation Protection Legislation Self-Study course.
